As Vice-President of Technology and Services, Mihai drives the technology strategy and vision for Commerx and its eco-system.
Mihai has an enormous passion for solving customer’s business problems through technology; designing processes and architecting solutions, stabilizing their systems, and managing and keeping their businesses running with zero down-time.
Mihai has served more than 220 Commerx customers from various verticals on multiple projects. He is a sought-after resource when it comes to tackling the most complex technical issues.
Being open minded, looking to the future and avoiding pre-defined patterns are some of Mihai’s business principles and biggest strengths when it comes to technology. He is obsessed with today’s technologies like block-chain, machine learning, and IoT. He is incredibly adept at helping our customers with architecting the right technology and implementing a strong foundation for their IT systems and infrastructures.
During his tenure at Commerx, Mihai developed two proprietary products: Virtual Server Grid and VIBE (in 2007), an early version of cloud and hyper converged technologies. Both were produced and launched in partnership with HPE and deployed by world leading companies like Bell and GM.
Mihai is a Computer Science graduate and has more than 100 certifications.
Outside of work, Mihai loves spending time with his wife and two sons. He also thinks a lot about cyber security threats and trains himself as a white-hacker to be able to understand all the risks and weak points in security. He studies physics, quantum mechanics and history. Mihai is the 2018 AWS Deep Racer League Champion.
