Following business expansions and acquisitions, the Norbord executive team decided to modernize and migrate their corporate data center mission critical IT infrastructure to a cloud-based topology. The existing IT infrastructure lacked resilience and scalability to further expand and realize Norbord’s strategic business vision. The Project was complex and large in scale, involving 133 applications located on 125 physical and virtual servers in multiple locations with 33 terabytes of data. A mission critical migration that required a firm understanding of the technology and business applications inter-dependencies. A strong design upgrade strategy, with detailed project planning and management was a must, due to the global scale of Norbord’s production and the large financial impact of any potential downtimes.

Norbord selected Commerx as their IT Professional and Managed Services Partner for the migration and modernization of their IT infrastructure.
