Overview
The HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array 3000 (EVA3000) is the mid-range member of the HP StorageWorks Virtual Disk Array enabled by VersaStor technology. The EVA3000 is a high performance, high availability "virtual" RAID storage solution serving the middle tier of the enterprise class marketplace that removes the time, space and cost boundaries of traditionally architected storage.
The EVA3000 is designed for the data center where there is a critical need for improved storage utilization and scalability while meeting application specific demands for consistently high transaction I/O and MB data rate performance, seamless capacity expansion, instantaneous replication, simplified storage administration and cost effectiveness.
The EVA3000 is a full 2 Gb end-to-end Fibre Channel array which operates in 1 Gb, 2 Gb or mixed (1 Gb and 2 Gb) Storage Area Network (SAN) fabrics and complements the current EVA5000 solutions.
The EVA3000 is available in one of four integrated "Independent Bundle" configurations (each bundle includes one pair of HSV100 controllers, two FC drive enclosures, and 8 to 16 integrated FC hard drives -varied by bundle). Broader choice of racks: EVA3000 Independent Bundles are factory integrated in your choice of EVA cab (22, 36U, 42U) or Rack System/E rack systems (25U, 33U, 41U). Configured solutions include support for the most popular multi-vendor operating system platforms and stringent data center availability enhancements such as multi-pathing and clustering.
