About the Company
For over 24 years, Commerx has brought value to our technology customers across North America. Incorporated in 1984, Commerx Computer Systems Inc. was created by our founder, Eddo Muzzatti, to service the HP computing base with equipment and maintenance services. In response to the overwhelming success of the business model, in 1994 a second company was formed, Commerx Computer Services, focusing exclusively on maintenance and warranty support for HP computers and printers. Finally, in 1998, the third jewel of the Commerx family was incorporated when Commerx Solutions was created to provide complex networking and remote server monitoring solutions. Renamed "Virtual Blocks" in 2008, Commerx Solutions today designs and develops virtualization solutions for service providers, large IT organizations, and a wide variety of SMB customers. The Virtual Blocks VSG (Virtual Server Grid) has been installed at Bell Canada, Barclays Global Investors, and the Government of Ontario.
Technology
While our traditional focus has been in the HP equipment and services world, Commerx has quickly become known for its expertise in virtual computing environments. As an authorized reseller for VMware, Commerx has taken virtual computing to its next logical level, designing proprietary solutions that enable IT organizations to manage virtual server environments in the thousands. In addition, the growth of our Professional Services practices surrounding both Continuity and Consolidation have led the company to develop expertise in EMC storage products and to become an official reseller for EMC in Canada.
