The Team at Commerx head office in Mississauga is taking part in the latest movement towards health, well-being & workplace wellness, by joining the Sit Kicker campaign. The Sit Kicker is a high-quality cardboard 'standing desk' that encourages employees to get up out of their seats and work on their feet at these desk stations.
Tuesday February 28th, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise hosted a Technology Open House at their Customer Centre of Excellence (Presentation Centre), located at their Head Office in Mississauga, ON.

Commerx President & CEO, Joanna Strong, is delighted to announce that Mr. Jim O’Driscoll, formerly of Bell Business Markets, will join Commerx as President on Monday, May 30th. Having led the organization as both President & CEO since 2013, Strong felt the time had come to refocus her efforts as CEO on the overall vision and strategy of Commerx, while O’Driscoll will concentrate on the day to day operations and growth of the organization.
On Thursday April 21st at the Paramount Event Venue in Woodbridge, ON, Computer Dealer News unveiled the 2015 CDN Top 100 Solution Providers List. For 2015, #TeamCommerx tied for top spot in our category at number 69.

For the 4th year in a row, Team Commerx took the afternoon away from the office and spent a few hours down at the Daily Bread Foodbank in Toronto. The Daily Bread Foodbank's mission is to fight hunger in Toronto & surrounding communities. Team Commerx was able to help acheive this mission by spending the afternoon sorting and packing almost 3500lbs of food!! In total, our Team was able to help over 170 families in Toronto.

Having put together another fun-filled evening for our Customers, The Team at Commerx would like to thank everyone who attended our 2015 Kickoff at the CN Tower on Thursday November 26th.
President & CEO of Commerx, Joanna Strong, recently unveiled our new corporate Mission & Core Values statement at our Annual Internal Kickoff Meeting. Early into the day, Strong made it clear to the team that the Mission & Values were defined through a collective workshop of peers where each business unit was represented. Sales, Technology, Services, Marketing & Accounting all came together to collaborate and commit to these critical statements on behalf of the company.
The Commerx Team were out in full force on Thursday October 1st to be a part of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Transformation Roadshow in Toronto. Beginning with a keynote address from HPE's Vice President General Manager & Managing Director, Charlie Atkinson, the day promised to be filled with informative updates & innovative insights from the newly launched division of HP.
Commerx has once again been named a finalist in the CDN Channel Elite Awards. Our team was named a 2015 finalist in the Best Cloud Computing Solution category.
Last year Commerx won “Rookie of the Year” at the 15th Annual Spotlight Awards ceremony in Las Vegas and over the past year we have been entrenching ourselves into the VTN Community, enabling us to cultivate some exciting partnerships as well as many new friendships. The group of VTN members take turns hosting each other at their offices to continue to foster these relationships. As Commerx celebrates our 1st Anniversary as a VTN member it was our turn to host the group and we were fortunate enough to have had a record turn out!
Understanding the value of getting together outside of the office, some members of the Commerx team took some time out of their busy schedules to face each other on a makeshift battlefield recently. Included were a few of our trusted partners from both HP and Ingram Micro. Our team event was half a day of Paintball excitement inside Sgt Splatters 35,000 ft2 two-story urban war zone of buildings and abandoned vehicles in the heart of Toronto. While most took home some souvenir bruises, in the end fun was had by all. Nothing like the opportunity to shoot each other with paint guns through 20 different game scenarios to let off some steam. At the same time working together and using strategy to take down the opposing team.
On February 5, 2015 Commerx’ team volunteered for a third year in a row for an afternoon at The Daily Bread Food Bank. Our group sorted, bagged & counted 2045lbs of fresh onions and carrots; ultimately benefitting 136 families from our assistance! Once again, we feel privileged that we had the opportunity to help this wonderful organization do what they do.
On November 1st, 2014, Commerx officially became "Platinum CI Certified" with Hewlett-Packard Canada. While the certifications happened earlier in 2014, it was with the start of HP's new fiscal year that our status officially went on record.
In early 2014, Commerx decided to join the Ingram Micro led Venture Tech Network (VTN). The VTN is an exclusive community of 350 technology providers thoughout North America who collaborate to share ideas and resources with the goal of delivering the best value to their clients.
Computer Dealer News has named our own President & CEO, Joanna Strong, to its 2014 group of Women in the IT Channel. Joanna is one of four women named this year and was recently honoured at the Estates of Sunnybrook in Toronto. The event is sponsored by Ingram Micro, Cisco Systems and SAP AG.
